Richard Palmer serves as Lead Grants Accountant for the Fiscal Oversight team providing compliance oversight for grant programs primarily for the firms’ educational projects in New Jersey and Illinois.

Richard joined the Vander Weele Group after spending over a decade in public accounting, primarily as an external auditor for various accounting firms including Marcum, Cohn Reznick, and Deloitte.  The industries audited ranged from small to mid-size companies specializing in manufacturing, healthcare, food and beverage, and even entertainment.  His background as an auditor has made him the subject matter expert when it comes to providing guidance on Federal compliance requirements as well as data analysis.

Richard holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Eastern Connecticut State University and a Master's of Accounting and Taxation from the University of Hartford.
